Are You Prepared for a Nuclear Disaster?

By now we've all seen and heard about the Nuclear Plant disaster in Japan, but did you know that the United States and many other countries are at the same risk? We are all surrounded by Nuclear Electrical Power Plants no matter where we live, and the more populated the city or town the more Nuclear Plants are needed to provide energy. It does not matter if you live 20 to 50 miles away from a Nuclear Plant, the effects of Radiation can still reach you! The danger is real and is close to home!

According to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, each year the United States Nuclear Reactor's have a 1 in 74,176 chance that the core could be damaged by an earthquake, exposing the public to radiation. That means no Tsunami or any other catastrophic damage is needed to trigger a Nuclear Crisis. That's 10 times more likely than you winning $10,000 by buying a ticket in the Powerball multistate lottery, where the chance is 1 in 723,145.

Here is a Map of the 104 Nuclear Power Plant locations in the United States:

No matter how technologically developed or well prepared a country maybe, in the case of Japan, a Nuclear Disaster is unpreventable. The fact is we have no control over mother nature and we can never prevent technological errors or human error. No other disaster is as damaging a Nuclear Meltdown, the effects of Radiation can last for years, history has shown this.

So it helps to be prepared for an event such as a Nuclear Disaster, simple steps such as having an emergency kit, radiation prevention pills such as Potassium Iodide, radiation detectors, face masks, etc. to be able to survive and reduce the effects of radiation poisoning. Just as we would have a first aid kit, smoke detector, or carbon monoxide detector to protect ourselves and our families, it is equally important to have a nuclear emergency kit.

This is a matter of life and death and you should be prepared, It's no longer a question of "Why" or "Should I", you must be prepared if you are to survive! Visit our store to get the items you need...
